A house with its own art gallery in Beverly Hills, California, hit the market on Monday for $19.995 million.
The home was built in 1990 for a real estate developer who died earlier this year and was an avid modern and contemporary art collector. A gallery space was designed to showcase his vast collection.
“The way it was built, [it has] very, very high ceilings, nice light and huge volume, so they could get really big pieces in there,” said listing agent Rochelle Maize of Nourmand & Associates.

There’s even a separate entrance for the art gallery, which is an added bonus when entertaining, Maize said.
The art gallery space makes the home prime for another collector or even an artist, but if the buyer doesn’t have a large art collection to fill the space, the sale of the home—at  full price—comes with a one-year concierge program with art rental and sales company Creative Art Partners, who will fill the home with art for no extra fee during that year.
“That way the new buyer can have some great art and not have naked walls, and they can even rotate the art if they get tired of pieces,” Maize said.

And if the next owner has a collection too large for the gallery space, the home has storage space specifically for artwork that can fit about 30 pieces.
The Mediterranean-style home sits on nearly three-quarters of an acre, a rather large plot for Beverly Hills proper, and its views sweep from the ocean to Santa Monica to the Century City skyline.
“You have this setting that’s completely private and very, very quiet,” Maize said. “It feels like you’re on vacation.”

There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms spread across the 7,864-square-foot house. Large windows throughout capitalize on the property’s view.
Outside, there are both covered and uncovered seating areas, a swimming pool and hot tub, and a barbecue area with space for al fresco dining.
